Joshua L. CAMPBELL, 28/W/M, Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania 18343

Summary: On Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1324hrs, Officers were dispatched to the area of Benders Church Rd and Hower Rd for a vehicle into a field.  When an Officer arrived, the operator was leaving the scene.  An Officer conducted a traffic stop, and identified the operator as Joshua L. CAMPBELL.  The Officer suspected J. CAMPBELL to be under the influence of a Controlled Substance.  On April 27, 2020, J. CAMPBELL’S blood tested positive for a Controlled Substance.  Charges were filed on April 30, 2020 at Magistrate Schlegel’s Office.

Diane L. NOBLE – 48/W/F (Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania)

Summary: On Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 1147hrs, NOBLE was observed operating a vehicle on S. Broadway, in Wind Gap Borough.  A traffic stop was conducted in the parking lot of the Burger King, due to an active bench warrant out of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department.  NOBLE was taken into custody and transported to the Northampton County Prison.

Nature of Incident/Arrest: Narcotic/Warrant Arrest

 Suspect(s): Matthew FREY age 25 of Pen Argyl, PA

Summary: Officers on patrol encountered Matthew FREY in the 100 block of A St in Pen Argyl Borough. Officers were aware that FREY was wanted by the Slate Belt Regional Police Department for a drug related offense. Officers took FREY into custody. A search of FREY’s person incident to arrest found him to be in possession of Methamphetamine. FREY was transported to the Northampton County Central Booking Center.

Nature of Incident/Arrest: Aggravated Assault/Resisting Arrest

Suspect(s): Katelyn GODISKA age 28, Nazareth, PA

Summary:
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 5900 block of Shady Lane in Plainfield Twp for a domestic disturbance. During the course of the investigation officers made contact with a female, Katelyn GODISKA, who was highly intoxicated and had been involved in the disturbance. During the investigation GODISKA attempted to leave the area. Officers attempted to take GODISKA into custody at which time she actively resisted arrest and kicked an officer twice. GODISKA was later transported to Northampton County Central Booking Center.

Summary:
An officer conducting an Aggressive Driving detail stopped a vehicle for a suspended registration for insurance cancellation. The odor of Marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle and a Marijuana cigarette was observed in plain view. Through further investigation officers located Cocaine and Heroin packaged for sale as well as Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both the driver, Miguel CRUZ, and the passenger, Anthony FERNANDEZ, were taken into custody. FERNANDEZ was also found to have multiple warrants issued for his arrest. Both males were lodged in the Northampton County Prison for Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances and related charges.

April 7 – Slate Belt Regional Police Commission Meeting

Slate Belt Regional Police Commission Meeting: 4/7/2020

The Slate Belt Regional Police Commission will be holding their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 7th at 5:00pm. In accordance with Governor Wolf’s “Stay-at-Home” Order issued on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Commission members will be participating from home via the “Zoom” platform.

Media Release – 8/8/2019

Home Invasion Robbery

On 8/7/2019 at 7:20pm, the Slate Belt Regional Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Delabole Rd., in Plainfield Twp. Northampton County for a report of a 66 yr old male who had suffered a gunshot wound. Police were later advised that the victim was shot twice in a home invasion robbery.

Police arrived on scene and learned that two male suspects came to the victim’s residence, were let inside by a female friend of the victim and demanded money. During the robbery, one suspect shot the victim two times in the leg. Both suspects fled after taking a safe, which was inside the home. The victim suffered non-life threatening wounds to his leg and was transported to St. Lukes – Fountain Hill. The female who was also on scene at the time of the incident was uninjured.

The suspects were described as a W/M wearing possibly a tan shirt and tan pants and B/M with dreadlocks, possibly in his early 20’s wearing a red shirt and red baseball cap with the brim turned up. Both fled in an unknown direction in an unknown vehicle.

It is unknown at this time the contents of the safe or additional suspect information. SBRPD will update media outlets with additional information as the investigation progresses.

Media Release – 6/7/2019

Arrested on Warrant

On June 6, 2019, SBRPD was called to the Giant in the Wind Gap Shopping Center in Wind Gap Borough for a report of a male who was passed out at that location.  Officers arrived and found the male in front of the store. Officers found that he was hiking along the Appalachian Trail for the past few weeks. He provided officers with a false name.  After investigation, police determined that the hiker was wanted out of Connecticut for a Probation Violation with the original charge being Possession of Child Pornography. He was taken into custody and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.  He was remanded to the Northampton County Prison.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child / Possession of a Controlled Substance / DUI
On 4/14/2019 at 6:15pm, a SBRPD officer stopped a vehicle in the 6200 block of Sullivan Trail. The officer located drug paraphernalia and marijuana inside the car. There was a two year old child passenger inside the vehicle. The officer charged a 27 year old male from Allentown with the above charges. He was transported to the Northampton County Prison for arraignment.

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On 4/3/2019 at 12:07 am, SBRPD officers were called to a 911 cell phone call in the area of Berhel Rd in Plainfield Twp.  Officers observed two people inside a car parked along the roadway. Upon checking on the occupants of the car, officers located Marijuana, Methamphetamine, scales, syringes, various pills and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.  Officers seized the items and took a 35 year old male from Nazareth and a 28 year old female from Jim Thorpe into custody. Both were transported to the Northampton County Prison for arraignment.
