Retail Theft

SBRPD is investigating a RETAIL THEFT which happened on October 9th at approximately 11:45 am. at Cramer’s Hardware in Wind Gap Borough.  Police were called to the store and learned that the below male distracted the staff and the female removed a Dewalt drill worth over $200.

W/F 5’10” brown hair

W/M brown hair / beard approx.. 5’6”

Both suspects fled in a DARK BLUE FORD FUSION with a dent on the passenger side rear door.  Partial PA Registration – “JVE” OR “JVF”

Media Release – 10/2/2017

Arrested – Possession of Methamphetamine/Marijuana

Rachel Keblitis             Filmore St. Allentown PA

On 9/30/17, SBRPD officers responded to the Turkey Hill at 73 N. Broadway in Wind Gap Borough for a suspicious person.  On scene, officers located Keblitis inside a vehicle outside of the store inside a vehicle.  Police found that Keblitis was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia which were inside of the vehicle.  Police located the controlled substances, digital scales and spoons inside of the car.  Bail was set at $25,000.

Arrested – DUI

Jonathan Fischer   Berwick St., Easton PA

SBRPD officers arrested Fischer for DUI after he was involved in a one vehicle traffic accident in the 700 Block of Broadway in Wind Gap Borough on 9/25/2017.  Police also charged the passenger of the vehicle with providing False Identification to Law Enforcement. Jacob Killey of Berwick St in Easton PA.  Killey provided a false name to police when investigating the accident.

Aggravated Assault

Kayla Lee Mettler       200 Block W. Main St., Pen Argyl PA

On 10-1-2017, SBRPD officers responded to an assault in the 200 block of W. Main St in Pen Argyl Borough.   Upon arrival, officers learned that Mettler and another resident of the home became involved in an argument.  Mettler sprayed lighter fluid on the female victim and lit a match, throwing it on the victim.  The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for her injuries.  Mettler was arrested and arraigned and failed to post $50,00 cash bail and placed in the Northampton County Correctional Facility.

Theft From Vehicle
SBRPD is investigating a theft from vehicle which occurred in the overnight hours on 9-25-17 into 9-26-17. Video games and $500 cash were removed from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of E. 1st Street in Wind Gap Borough. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 610-759-8517.

Juvenile Arrest
Charges were filed at Juvenile Court in a case of a 15 yr old Wind Gap juvenile who was at the Weona Park – throwing rocks at passing vehicles. On 9-19-2017, a driver was stopped at the traffic light on East Main St. When the driver pulled away, his vehicle was struck by a rock thrown by the juvenile.

Possession of Marijuana
Daniel Rice 400 Block Broad St., Pen Argyl PA
On 9/23/2017 at approx. 1:50am, SBRPD responded for a report of a domestic dispute in the 400 Block of Broad St., in Pen Argyl Borough. While investigating the disturbance, police found that Rice had been smoking marijuana just prior to police arrival. Police located a small amount of marijuana in a smoking pipe at the residence. Police also found that Rice was on parole by the Commonwealth of PA. Rice was taken into custody and later transported to the Northampton County Prison. Charges were later filed at District Justice Zito’s in Bangor.

Terroristic Threats and Related
Al Malik Knox 400 Block Williams Street, Pen Argyl PA
On 9-24-2017 at approx. 9:40pm, SBRPD responded to a threats report in the 400 block of William St. in Pen Argyl Borough. It was reported that Knox had called a female resident at the home and threatened her. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Knox. In the early morning hours of 9-25-2017, police observed Knox pulling up to the residence. Police were on location and Knox did not get out of his car. Knox then attempted to leave the area but was met by other SBRPD officers in the area. Knox was apprehended and found to be in possession of marijuana. Knox was transported to Central Processing Center in Easton for arraignment.

Jason Milakovic Rose Valley PA
On 9-24-2017 at approx. 1:30am, SBRPD officers stopped a car driven by Milakovic for a traffic violation in Pen Argyl Borough. While speaking with Milakovic, officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, all three individuals were found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Deangelis was later transported to the Northampton County Prison on a detainer from the Lehigh County Probation/Parole Department. Frankenfield and Milakovic were later released. Charges were later filed at District Justice Zito’s Office in Bangor.

Simple Assault and Related Offenses
Raymond Scott 30 yr old male Jacksonville Florida

On 9/15/2017 at approximately 8:50pm, SBRPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. 8th St in Wind Gap Borough for a report of a domestic disturbance. On scene, officers learned that Scott assaulted a female, hitting her and pushing her to the ground. Officers arrested Scott on scene. Scott was arraigned by MDJ Grifo and bail was set at $10,000. Scott could not post bail and was remanded to the Northampton County Correctional Facility.

Retail Theft – Giant Grocery Store
837 Male Rd., Wind Gap PA

SBRPD is investigating a report of a Retail Theft from Giant which happened on 9/13/2017 at approx. 12:00pm. The pictured W/M left the store without paying for over $100 in groceries. The suspect then left the area in a red, unknown make/model SUV.

Media Release – 8/28/2017

Aggravated Assault and Related Charges

Patrick John Hall   William St., Pen Argyl  PA

On 8/25/2017 at 7:35 pm, SBRPD officers were called to the area of Pen Argyl Rd., near W. Main St. in Plainfield Township for a report of an injured female who had been thrown from a car.  On scene, officers located an injured female and Hall, who had been driving the car.  Police learned that Hall and the female had been involved in a Domestic Dispute at Hall’s residence.  The injured female had jumped onto the hood of the vehicle at the residence.  Hall drove away with the female still on the car.  In the area of Pen Argyl Rd. and W. Main St., Hall was travelling approximately 30 mph then abruptly stopped, ejecting the female from the hood of the car.  EMS transported the victim  to Lehigh Valley Pocono Medical for her injuries.  Hall was taken into custody and later arraigned by MDJ Capobianco.  Bail was set at $20,000.

Retail Theft Charges Filed
SBRPD officers charged Jennifer Long and Jeremy Morrell of Plainfield Township for an August 7th Retail Theft of over $250 from Giant Food Store in Wind Gap. Charges of Misdemeanor Retail Theft were filed at MDJ Schlegel’s Office in Wind Gap PA.

Theft of Landscape Trailer
SBRPD is investigation the theft of a landscape trailer from a business on Fairview Ave in Wind Gap Borough. The trailer was stolen in the overnight hours of August 8th. The trailer had PA registration XFX5522 on it when stolen.

Possession of Marijuana
Edward Monastero 22 yr old male – W. Pennsylvania Ave, Pen Argyl Borough
Charges were filed at MDJ Alicia Zito’s office for Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia after police located marijuana and related material inside his home. Police were on location investigating another incident.

Theft from Vehicle
SBRPD is investigation the theft of over $300 in cash from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 of W. Pennsylvania Ave in Pen Argyl Borough. The victim reported that her purse was left inside her vehicle during the overnight hours. In the morning, she noticed her car door slightly open and the cash missing from her purse. Arrested on Warrant
Brandon Hallett 24 yr old male – Kunkletown PA
SBRPD officers arrested Hallett on a warrant for a Parole Violation out of Harrisburg PA. Police were investigating an unrelated incident at the Travel Inn when they came upon Hallett in a room on the property. Hallett initially provided a false name to officers.

Retail Theft

SBRPD is investigating a report of a Retail Theft from Giant, 837 Male Rd., Wind Gap which occurred on August 6th at approx. 10:25 am.  The suspects left the store without paying for a full cart of groceries, totaling over $273.00 in merchandise.  

Suspect 1:  W/M beard/goatee, longer hair pulled into a pony tail, tattoo on left arm, approx.. 225-230lbs.  Last seen wearing black shorts and grey t-shirt with the word NOPE written in orange letters on the front.

Suspect 2:  W/F, dark hair, glasses   Last seen wearing purple pants (scrubs) and a multi-colored nursing type shirt

Both suspect got into a Silver or white 4 door SUV, Possibly an older model Dodge Durango.

Media Release – 7/14/2017

STOLEN VEHICLE – 1994 DODGE RAM 1500, Blue with a cracked rear passenger tail light lens. Truck has a Chevrolet Bumper. This truck was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Church Rd, Plainfield Twp. on 7/13/2017.

Media Release – 7/12/2017

Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Mischief, Theft

Zachary Hoffman  22 yr old male – Heitzman Rd., Pen Argyl PA

On July 10th, 2017 at 8:34am SBRPD officers were dispatched to a residence on the 300 block of E. Third St., Wind Gap Borough for a burglary.  Officers found no one inside the home.  The house had no one living inside and was for sale.  Inside the residence, police found a PA registration plate that belonged to Hoffman.  Also inside, police found clothes and a construction sign which, after being interviewed, Hoffman admitted to stealing.  Police interviewed Hoffman on July 11th and through that interview, charged him with the above crimes.  Hoffman did admit to being inside the residence and damaging the interior.  Hoffman was arraigned and remanded to the Northampton County Prison on $50,000 bail.
